I was an English major—of course I dreamt of writing a book. But life is busy. And quite frankly, it's hard!
For me, the time was right when my writing skills matured, and I had more free time on my hands. An idea sparked after a drive with my mom to sneak a peek at our old farmhouse, and I couldn't shake it. We talked it through on the drive back, and the next day, I started writing.
And for two years, I didn’t stop.
The Element Mysteries are about a secret society—one that I dug deep into my imagination to invent. I incorporated some of the places and even creepy events from my upbringing in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Kirkus Reviews claims, “Fans of The Da Vinci Code or True Detective will enjoy this maximalist mix of crime, conspiracy, and the occult.” I agree that’s what I was going for.
