Callings matter.
If you’re good at something outside of your wheelhouse, explore it.
To save some money when I was publishing my own books, I researched formatting options that were pretty easy but looked great. Then I tackled my own covers with beautifully purchased artwork (recently updated with my own). I realized I loved this part of the process so much that I put myself out there to help other authors. Since then, I've stepped up to the Adobe suite for graphic design, formatting and short videos for social media. This has allowed me to tackle bigger jobs for nonfiction authors. Every day is a new day to keep the creative juices flowing.

How do I find the time? I think if you love doing something, you'll find the time. I'm extremely good at prioritizing, compartmentalizing and offering services with expectations that I may not get to it before X, Y or Z. I’ve never advertised my services, yet I've been found by some of the most amazing authors and humans I've ever met. I'm here to tell you that word of mouth is still alive and well! But I have no plans to become bigger than I already am. That doesn't mean I have any plans to stop exploring. I'm not sure creative minds can turn them off.
More than a hobby. Not my full-time gig.
